Children’s Mental Health
Helping Children Thrive. Supporting Families.
West Texas Centers provides mental health services to children, adolescents, and their families who are experiencing challenges related to mental, emotional, or behavioral health. Our goal is to help children build skills, improve their well-being, and achieve greater stability at home, at school, and in their communities.
Every child and family has unique needs. We work with families to identify concerns, explore treatment options, and develop an individualized plan of care based on the child’s needs and eligibility for services.

What to Expect From the Therapy Process
1. Contact Us
Your first step is to call West Texas Centers to learn about available services and begin the intake process. Our staff can answer questions and explain how to get started.
2. Complete an Initial Evaluation
During the initial appointment, you and your child will have an opportunity to share concerns, discuss your family’s needs, and learn what to expect from the treatment process. The provider can also explain confidentiality, available services, and next steps.
3. Develop a Plan Together
If services are appropriate and you choose to move forward, you and your provider will work together to identify goals and develop a plan focused on your child’s needs and strengths.
4. Work Toward Progress
Follow-up appointments and services will help your child and family work toward identified goals. The treatment plan may be reviewed and adjusted as needs change.
